WELL-VISITS

4 Year Well Visit

What to Expect

At this visit, growth is assessed by measuring weight, height, and BMI (body mass index). In addition, nutrition counseling is offered. Development and school readiness is monitored. Vaccines are given at this visit, including MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), varivax (chickenpox), DtaP, and Polio. These are offered in combination so as to limit the number of needle sticks. Catch up immunizations are given and an Influenza vaccine may be offered depending on availability.

A spot vision check and hearing tests are completed.

Oral health is important in maintaining strong teeth. Fluoride varnish is available for application in the office.
